South Philadelphia. Taken looking southeast from the PSFS building. In the middleground, beyond the tall buildings of City Center, is the neighborhood of Queen Village. The Delaware River runs through the background. Beyond that, New Jersey stretches toward the horizon. The Walt Whitman Bridge, where the Schuykill Expressway crosses the river, can be seen at right. #Cityporn now accepts submissions.

Here.

#Cityporn is currently covering Philadelphia. I’ll let you know when it moves on to something else. The submission guidelines:

Cityporn accepts and encourages submissions, but it is picky. It favors real representations rather than beautiful ones, lived images rather than postcard pictures. It wants to be the next best thing to being in the city itself. Hyper color-corrected pictures with magical sparkling skies are discouraged, as are arty shots whose subject can’t easily be discerned. You should provide as much context about a shot as possible. Submissions should credit the original author.

Non images are welcome and should capture or illustrate some vital essence of the city.

Philadelphia. Photo take from the Spring Garden Street bridge, looking southeast. The Schuykill River cuts through the center of the photograph. The Comcast Center is the tallest building at the far left. Behind it, City Hall can just be made out. One Liberty Place is at the center left, mostly obscured by the BNY Mellon Center. The PECO building is the black monolith on the east bank of the river, and the Cira Centre is the glass building at the far right. Behind the Cira Centre is the 30th Street Amtrak Station.

And across the river, Camden is a gilded kingdom on the verge of night.
